Disclosure: I was invited to the Gilt Warehouse sale, treated to a makeover and provided a gift card to compensate for my time with ZYRTEC.  However, all opinions, fashion choices and thoughts shared are my very own!

A new outfit and white pair of shoes are an Easter tradition in my family.  My mother tells the story of her abuela working tirelessly to make this happen every year for her.  She would sew a beautiful dress together and save every penny she had to buy her a new pair of white shoes.

While my mother didn’t sew me a dress, she still kept up the tradition.  My sister and I would receive a pretty floral dress at Easter and a new white pair of shoes.  We’d be thrilled heading in to mass and leave with blisters on our feet and biting our tongue not wanting to complain and be ungrateful.  (There were a few times I may of complained which led to the re-telling of the above story and how thankful I should be.)

Now, every year my daughter’s get a new dress at Easter and a new pair of shoes – they don’t have to be white any more!  I also purchase a new outfit for myself because it’s important to treat yourself too.

I decided to return to floral this year with two new skirts that are perfect for celebrating Spring and Easter.  (Although my daughter hates one of them…more on that later.)  One, I found at the Gilt Warehouse Sale in Miami.  Zyrtec hosted an event that reminded me that Spring is allergy season.  How many of you suffer?

Red nose, puffiness and water eyes caused by allergies can leave you feeling down.  But working with your makeup and using a product like ZYRTEC can mask and even make all of the effects of allergy disappear.  Scroll down for a look that uses pastels and pinks to keep you looking spring radiant – plus it goes great with the floral skirts.

Pink Floral Skirt

The pink floral a-line I picked up through a quick trip through Forever 21.  I know.  I know!  We’re supposed to of outgrown these stores when we became moms but why?  When you can pick up a in-trend piece at a great price then I say do it.  I think this skirt is fun, flirty and a great piece for bringing in Spring.  My daughter disagrees.  She says it looks like a curtain!  Oh well!

Black Floral Skirt

The black trimmed pencil skirt is a Rebecca Minkoff that I snagged at the Gilt warehouse sale.  The black lining creates a great silhouette.  And, both skirts pair with the EXPRESS sleeveless tank, gold heels and Pour La Victoire clutch.

Spring Radiant Get the Look

Apply a light pastel, iridescent shade to the full eyelid, blending lightly into the crease.  If you have a darker complexion, skip the pastel and choose a berry pink.

Use a waterproof taupe liner on both the top and bottom for definition.

Apply waterproof mascara.

Apply a tinted moisturizer to the face for a dewy.  The moisturizer will help hydrate skin and deal with the puffiness caused by allergies.

Comb the brows for a natural look.

Apply a baby pink blush to the cheeks and top with a hint of highlighter to make the cheeks glow.

For the lips, apply a pink tinted lip balm or a darker shade of pink depending on skin tone.
